Argonne National Laboratory – Advanced Protein Crystallization Facility
55,877 SF state-of-the-art bio-science laboratory that will be used by scientists around the world to produce, purify and characterize a wide range of proteins and facilitate large-scale research in molecular biology and biochemistry and protein engineering. The facility will house 76 researchers, a 120-seat auditorium and Bio-Safety Level 2 (BSL-2) labs. Other features include lab space for robotic, automated production, purification, and crystallization of proteins; lab space for structural biology procedures and systems biology; an electron microscopy suite; and computer support space. This project has been designed with the sustainable design criteria required to achieve LEED Gold Certification.
