About The Project

This 602,431 SF laboratory facility will consolidate space for EPA entities that are currently scattered throughout its 200-acre Edison, NJ campus, including the National Environmental Response Team (ERT) and the Urban Watershed Research Branch (UMWB) of the Office of Research and Development. The new consolidated facility will house laboratories and laboratory support spaces; modern office space; vehicle and equipment storage space; ERT training facilities; a central power plant, UWMB research facilities; and a helipad. Energy efficiency and sustainability issues will be incorporated into the design of the new facility. The scope of work also includes modifications to existing historic structures and the removal of trailers from the site.
