602,431 SF new laboratory facility that will consolidate space for EPA entities that are currently scattered throughout the 200-acre Edison, NJ campus including the National Environmental Response Team (ERT) and the Urban Watershed Research Branch (UMWB) of the Office of Research and Development. The new consolidated facility will house laboratories and laboratory support space; modern office space; vehicle and equipment storage space; ERT training facilities; UWMB research facilities; and a helipad. Energy efficiency and sustainable issues will be incorporated into the design of the new facility. Scope of work also includes modifications to existing historic structures and removal of trailers from the site.
