Construction of a new 27,120 SF, 3-story facility next to the existing School on Lincoln Avenue. Features include:

  • 3 dance studios with sprung floors and changing facilities
  • 16 new acoustically engineered classrooms designed to accommodate percussion and electric instruments
  • Smart” classroom technology for distance learning programs

Project also involved the creation of Szold Hall, a 2,100 SF, 150-seat flexible performance space that can be converted into a classroom, community gathering area, or social dance hall to meet a wide range of needs. Informal “jam spaces” will be featured throughout the facility so musicians can gather, play, and learn from each other. The facility was designed to meet LEED Gold certification, using green technology and building materials for low-impact, environmentally sustainable operations.
