Elmhurst Public Library

CCS acted as Owners Rep for a new 92,000 SF, two-story public library. The development included parking for 134 cars, a water design and decorative entrance canopy, a service entrance, and a book drop. Spaces in the library include a formal lobby, administrative offices, conference rooms, lounge areas, meeting rooms, a periodicals area, a quiet reading area, a storytime room, and study rooms. The library was designed to offer views of Wilder Park, a cultural hub that encompasses Wilder Mansion, the Wilder Park Conservatory, and the Wilder Park Formal Gardens. CCS’ scope of services included the total project budget full cost management, value engineering, master scheduling, design professionals selection, design document review, project delivery recommendations, prequalification of General Contractors, RFPs for General Contractors, permit and insurance review, on-site project management, construction administration, monthly board updates, change order reviews, billing reviews, and project close-out management.
